I am very pleased with this product. My wedding was two years ago and the cameras are still working great. Instead of a sign in book at my wedding I did instant pictures. This camera worked great.
I made a collage of the pictures and I was pleased with it over the alternative of a guest book. I purchased this jem to take pictures of my guests at my wedding. It worked out lovely.
She is the only one who has a new one, and she seems to love it. Who knew she and her friends would love this thing. It is exactly like the one I had years and years ago. A very retro way to take pictures for sure. However, it seems this is the hot thing for my teenager.
I looked everywhere online to find the best price, but Amazon.com (and it's partners) were the only people still selling it. It's really too bad that Polaroid discontinued this camera and Polaroid film in general last year. I bought this camera for my girlfriend as one of her birthday gifts and she absolutely loves it. The camera got to my house quicker then the shipping option I had chosen and worked great right out of the box.
When I told them - no response - but I did get my money back for the camera and the extra film I purchased. Why sell a camera that you can no longer buy film for. It came from Adobe Camera and when I called them to get a RMA#, they asked why I was returning it. Purchased this camera for my husband's dive business so he could instantly photograph his students who successfully completed their scuba course. Seems ridiculous to me for Amazon to be selling a product that will soon be totally useless, unless of course, you have lots of $$ to stock up on film (it' expensive - turns out to be about $1 a picture - don't make a mistake). A friend did some research and found that the film is being discontinued this year (2009). That was in November. I should have paid attention to the other reviewers who mentioned this.
